First Foundation Day Celebration of BHU

The kings and emperors of the country attended the foundation ceremony of Kashi Hindu University (BHU). Prof. Vinod Jaiswal told that according to the English calendar, the 109th foundation day of BHU is being celebrated. This ceremony holds a special place in British Indian history. After the Delhi Durbar celebrations of 1903 and 1911, a large number of kings and princely states of the country had gathered in this ceremony. The then Viceroy Lord Hardinge addressed the foundation stone laying programme.
